What To Expect At Your Initial Chiropractic Visits:
No Fee Consultations:
At Baywood Chiropractic, Dr. David J. Lewis always meets with prospective patients for a no fee consultation to see if there are any significant medical concerns that might prevent the patient from being a good match for chiropractic treatment. Dr. David J. Lewis reviews the prospective patient’s health and medical history in this one-on-one session, and if both parties feels as if chiropractic is a good match for your issues, the next step is an exam.
Exams:
The exam will consist of your medical history, standard physical, orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic diagnostics and tests, the results of which will help pinpoint the source or cause of your pain issues.
Should Dr. David J. Lewis feel it is necessary, he will recommend X-rays, CAT scans or MRI’S that will reveal spinal issues as well as potential pathologies underlying the issues that will help determine how the affected area (s) of the body will be treated with chiropractic.
Diagnosis:
Defining the treatment plan will be your diagnosis. This diagnosis will include what type of spinal disorder you may be suffering from, including the degree of severity and other information related to the treatment and prognosis of the specific disorder.
Prognosis:
Accompanying the diagnosis will be a prognosis, which is basically a professional opinion, based on Dr. David J. Lewis’s medical experience, of what the likely outcome after a course of chiropractic treatment.
Treatment Plans:
At the conclusion of the no fee consultation and exam, Dr. David J. Lewis will work to formulate a customized treatment plan that fits your needs, lifestyle and preferences. This treatment plan will include the most appropriate, expedient and effective form of spinal manipulation for the issue at hand that will offer the best results for you.
